Parbat Couple's Murder

Police have arrested two individuals suspected in the murder of Surya Bahadur GC (69) and his wife Kamala GC (67) in Jaljala Rural Municipality-2 Mallaj, Parbat. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Gandaki Province Police Office, Bikas Raj Khanal, confirmed the arrests and stated that an ongoing investigation will determine the suspects’ involvement.

DIG Khanal’s team, along with a team of doctors, a technical team, and dogs, were deployed from Pokhara to the secluded crime scene. The investigation is led by the Myagdi District Police due to the location’s proximity.

Preliminary findings suggest the couple communicated with relatives until 9 PM on Monday. Their bodies were discovered Tuesday morning after their son in Myagdi and sons in Korea could not reach them. Neighbors alerted police after finding the couple deceased with visible injuries.

The couple’s house was locked, including the room where they were found. Their small grocery store was also locked. Police suspect blunt force trauma as the cause of death. Post-mortem examinations were conducted in Myagdi.
