Siraha police have apprehended two individuals who were found in possession of a substantial quantity of banned drugs. The arrests were made in Sakhuwanankarkatti Rural Municipality-5 on Saturday.
The suspects, identified as 21-year-old Sandesh Rai and 22-year-old Sugam Rai, both residents of Triyuga Municipality-13 Sakela Toll in Udayapur District, were found with 69 ampoules of diazepam, 76 ampoules of buprenorphine, and 74 ampoules of promethazine.
According to the police, the duo was suspected of smuggling the drugs into Nepal from India. Siraha Police Spokesperson DSP Birendra Kumar Paswan stated that ongoing investigations are being conducted to gather further details about the case.
