Bardiya: Police in Bardiya have arrested two individuals on suspicion of drug trafficking. The duo was apprehended near Bhola Goudhi Chowk in Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality while traveling on a motorcycle from the Indian border town of Bazar Balaigaon.
During a routine patrol, police stopped the motorcycle, bearing the license plate number BHE 6 PA 705, for inspection. A search of the suspects led to the discovery of 410 grams of a white substance concealed within the slippers of one of the individuals, identified as 20-year-old Manish Shah of Bansgadhi Municipality.
The motorcycle rider, 35-year-old Shiva Lal Sunar, also a resident of Bansgadhi Municipality, was arrested as well.
District Police Spokesperson DSP Tulsiram Aryal confirmed the arrests and stated that further investigations are underway.
