Sarlahi: The bodies of two individuals have been recovered from a car that plunged into a pond in Sarlahi district on Tuesday morning.
The car, with the license plate LU 2 CHA 6758, was traveling from Bayalbas to Gaushala when it lost control and was submerged in a pond at Ishworpur Municipality-2, Miyankhor.
The bodies of Suresh Mahato (driver) and Ramakant Thakur were retrieved from the pond by an armed police force rescue team at around 8:30 AM.
A third passenger, Janak Yadav, managed to escape by swimming.
The police are currently working to recover the submerged car from the pond and are investigating the cause of the accident.
