Two people, a 48-year-old woman named Dila KC and her grandson Krish KC, were tragically killed in an electrocution accident in Rapti Rural Municipality-3 Masuriya, Dang, on Saturday afternoon. Dila’s husband, Gorkha Bahadur KC (68), sustained injuries from the incident and is currently receiving treatment in Butwal.
According to Kamal Pun, an engineer with the Nepal Electricity Authority Lamahi, strong winds caused the main power line to break. The child was electrocuted when the fallen wire touched the ground. Dila KC died while attempting to rescue her grandson and her husband was injured in the process.
This heartbreaking incident underscores the dangers of faulty electrical infrastructure.
