Two individuals discovered unconscious in separate locations within Lamki Chuha Municipality, Kailali, were pronounced dead on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as 51-year-old Sagar BK, a resident of Lamki Chuha Municipality-5. Police are withholding the identity of the other individual pending notification of next of kin.
According to District Police Office Inspector Lokendra Singh Karki, BK was found unconscious on a local road section. The other individual was discovered unconscious in the canal of the Rani Jamara Kulariya irrigation project situated in Lamki Chuha Municipality-3.
Both individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment; however, they were declared dead by medical professionals. The bodies of the deceased are currently held at Tikapur Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
The cause of their unconsciousness remains under investigation by local authorities.
