Makwanpur: Two Indian nationals have been apprehended by Nepali police in Makwanpur district for drug trafficking. Sudhir Singh, 45, and Renudevi Chaudhury, 75, both residents of Bihar, India, were caught with six kilograms of charas.
The duo was arrested during a routine bus inspection in Thaha Municipality. The illegal substance was found concealed within their clothing.
The arrest is part of an ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking in the district. Makwanpur police reported seizing a significant amount of narcotics, including ganja, opium, heroin, and hashish, in the last fiscal year. A total of 250 individuals, including 21 women, were arrested on drug-related charges during the same period.
Authorities are currently investigating the case further.
