Dang: A truck overturned in Ghorahi on Thursday morning, injuring the driver and co-driver. The accident occurred when the truck, carrying construction materials, veered off the road at Kuirepani in Ghorahi-3.
The injured have been identified as the truck driver, 59-year-old Hari Bahadur Khatri from Shivaraj Municipality-5, Kapilvastu, and the co-driver, 18-year-old Dilip Tharu, also from the same place. Both victims are currently undergoing treatment at Rapti Institute of Health Sciences in Ghorahi.
According to District Police Spokesperson DSP Ram Prasad Timilsina, the truck went out of control, causing the accident. Rescue efforts were immediately initiated to free the trapped individuals.
