Two people lost their lives in a bus accident on the Nepalgunj-Kohalpur road section in Banke district on August 29. The victims have been identified as 60-year-old Man Bahadur Oli and 24-year-old Santosh Bhusal, both from Dang Tulsipur.
The incident occurred when a bus, bearing the registration number BHE 1 KHA 2128, overturned near Ganapur on the highway. The bus was traveling from Dang Tulsipur to Nepalgunj. In the accident, the bus also collided with a moving motorcycle.
According to Narayan Dangi, the spokesperson for the District Police Office Banke, Oli was a passenger on the bus, while Bhusal was the co-driver. A total of 26 people were injured in the accident, and they are currently receiving medical treatment at hospitals in Nepalgunj and Kohalpur.
