Jhapa, Nepal: Two people were killed in separate incidents in Jhapa district within two days, according to the district police office.
On Friday night, Ram Prasad Sitaula, a resident of Shivasatakshi Municipality-8 Shitalchowk, was killed by his brother Narayan Sitaula during a drunken altercation. Narayan was immediately arrested and is currently under investigation.
The following night, Saturday, 19-year-old Manisha Lahore of Ilam Suryodaya Municipality-10 Phikkal was stabbed to death at Mahanand Chowk in Arjundhara Municipality-6. The suspected perpetrator, 20-year-old Anil BK of Kailali Gauriganga Municipality-3, was apprehended by locals and handed over to the police. Lahore succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment at B&C Hospital in Birtamod.
