Two More Soldiers Die After Injuries Sustained in Dolpa Forest Fire

Two additional Nepali soldiers have tragically died from injuries they suffered while attempting to control a forest fire in the Dolpa district. Sipahi Hemant Rawat passed away in Dolpa on Monday evening, with Jamdar Keshar Bahadur Jaga Magar and Sipahi Ashish Budha succumbing to their injuries on Tuesday while receiving treatment at Kirtipur Hospital in Kathmandu.

These deaths bring the total casualties from the fire to three. A fourth soldier, Piyuth Bijay Koirala, is still undergoing treatment.

The four soldiers were members of the Devidatta Gan ‘A’ unit and were deployed alongside teams from the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police to fight the blaze in the Mastabhavani Community Forest in Thulibheri Municipality-3.
