A motorcycle-tipper accident in Triyuga Municipality-1 Phuljor, Udayapur district, resulted in the deaths of two individuals today.
Bidyalal Sah, Police Inspector of the District Police Office, confirmed the fatalities. The accident occurred when a tipper carrying ballast (vehicle number 1-02-001 Kha 8514) traveling from Beltar of Chaudandigadi Municipality towards Gaighat collided with a motorcycle (number 1-02-052 Pa 3958) traveling in the opposite direction.
The deceased were identified as the motorcyclist, 30-year-old Rabin Shrestha of Belaka Municipality-1, and his pillion rider, 24-year-old Bira Rai of Triyuga-3.
Police Inspector Sah informed that the tipper driver, 31-year-old Bhim Bahadur Rai of Triyuga-7, has been apprehended. An investigation into the accident is underway.
