The CPN-Unified Socialist Party has decided to question Deepak Manange’s current position as a minister in the Nepali Congress-led Gandaki Province government. Manange, an independent Member of the Gandaki Province Assembly, has shifted alliances since his election.
Unified Socialist Secretary Jeevanram Shrestha explained the party’s decision. Manange initially joined the Unified Socialist Party but later became a minister without discussion amidst a changing political landscape. The party has instructed its provincial committee to seek clarification from Manange.
Manange won his seat in the 2022 elections as an independent candidate from Province 1 (B).
