Urmila Aryal, Vice Chairman of Nepal’s National Assembly, has tendered her resignation. Her resignation letter was submitted to the Assembly’s Chairman, Narayan Dahal. Aryal’s resignation follows the selection of Dahal as Chairman by the CPN (Maoist Center), a decision that reportedly caused Aryal’s discontent. The new Vice Chairman will be selected from the ruling coalition, with the CPN (Unified Socialist) expected to secure the position following their recent inclusion in the alliance.
