Cricket fans in Nepal, rejoice! The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up matches, taking place before the main tournament kicks off in June.
These warm-up fixtures will be played as 20-over matches but won’t hold official T20 International status. This format allows teams to experiment and give all 15 members of their squad valuable playing time before the high-pressure matches of the World Cup.
In a change from previous editions, teams can now choose to play up to two warm-up matches, depending on their arrival schedule.
The only match open to the public will be the exciting clash between West Indies and Australia at Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad and Tobago, on Thursday, May 30th.
