Nepal’s weather conditions are currently influenced by a mix of weather systems, according to the Department of Water and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division. While the eastern regions experience the full force of the Monsoon, the rest of the country sees a blend of local air, westerly winds, and a low-pressure system near Bihar.
Morning: Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies in the hilly areas of Far-West, Karnali, and Koshi regions. Elsewhere, the weather will be mostly clear with a chance of partial cloud cover. Light rain is already sprinkling in some parts of the Koshi region.
Afternoon: Partly to mostly cloudy conditions will prevail over the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Koshi. The rest of the country can expect partly cloudy to mainly clear skies. However, there’s a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Koshi, along with the possibility of isolated showers in other regions.
Night: The hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki will experience partly cloudy to mostly clear skies during the night. The remaining areas will be partly cloudy with a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in the Gandaki hills and scattered showers possible elsewhere.
