Biratchowk, Nepal– The Weather Forecasting Division of Nepal reports that western and local winds are influencing the nation’s current weather. The division has issued a forecast detailing the anticipated conditions across the country.
Currently, the weather is partly cloudy in Nepal’s hilly regions. Provinces such as Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini are experiencing these conditions, while the remainder of the country enjoys mostly clear skies.
Forecasters expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions across Nepal’s hilly areas throughout the afternoon. Some areas in hilly regions could experience light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning. Storms are also a possibility in the Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with scattered storms in other regions. Light snow is also possible in some high-hill and Himalayan regions.
Tonight, there is a chance of light to moderate rain and lightning in a few places within the hilly areas of Koshi Province. Light rain with lightning is also expected in parts of the hilly areas in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. One or two places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces may experience light snowfall.
