A 55-year-old man, Kale Bahadur Rai, from Manhari rural municipality-6 Pratappur in Makwanpur district, has died following a wild elephant attack. According to local police, the incident occurred while Rai was visiting the Chitwan National Park area. His body was discovered on Friday morning and has been sent to Hetaunda Hospital for post-mortem examination.
In addition to the tragic loss of life, two buffaloes were also injured during the elephant attack, as reported by Sitaram Aryal, chairman of the Parsa National Park Intermediate Management Committee.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers associated with human-wildlife interactions in areas bordering national parks and protected areas. Authorities are urging residents and visitors to exercise caution and avoid venturing into areas known for wildlife activity.
