A young woman succumbed to a snakebite in Siraha district. Sarita Kumari Sada, 20, from Sakhuwanankarkatti Rural Municipality Ward 3, was bitten by a snake while sleeping around midnight.
Tragically, instead of seeking immediate medical attention, the victim was taken to a local shaman (traditional healer) for treatment. When her condition worsened, she was rushed to Lahan Provincial Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save her life and declared her dead upon arrival.
The incident highlights the dangers of relying on traditional healing methods for serious medical conditions. Experts emphasize the importance of seeking prompt treatment from qualified healthcare professionals in such cases.
