A woman who was injured in a bus collision in Nawalparasi has succumbed to her injuries. The incident occurred on Friday night near Gaindakot Municipality-10 Bhaisakhori along the East-West Highway.
In the accident, a seven-year-old boy, Bishal Shrestha, was killed instantly when he was struck by bus No. NA 7 KHA 2525, which was traveling towards Kawasoti. His grandmother, Shrimaya Manandhar, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital.
Unfortunately, Manandhar passed away on Friday night while receiving medical treatment at the Old Medical College in Bharatpur.
The police have taken the bus and its driver into custody for further investigation.
