Kavre: A woman lost her life after being struck by a bus on Araniko Highway in Bhumlu Rural Municipality-10 of Kavre district.
The incident occurred on Thursday evening when a bus, bearing the registration number Ba 2 Kha 9064, traveling from Kathmandu to Bahrabise, collided with a pedestrian. The woman, whose identity remains unknown, was pronounced dead by doctors at Dhulikhel Hospital during treatment.
The bus driver, 51-year-old Ram Bahadur Tamang from Balephi Rural Municipality-8 of Sindhupalchok, has been taken into custody by the police regarding the accident. District Police Office Kavre spokesperson DSP Rajkumar Shrestha confirmed the arrest and ongoing investigation into the incident.
