Woman Killed by Tiger Attack in Bardiya

A woman has died after a tiger attack in Bardiya on Thursday. The victim, identified as 35-year-old Manisha Rokaya from Hasanapur village in Baijnath rural municipality of Banke district, was reportedly mauled near the Jana Chetana Community Forest in Bansgadhi Municipality.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Tulsiram Aryal of the Bardiya District Police Office, Rokaya was attacked while traveling to Batuwa in Bansgadhi Municipality along with her sister, Kailashpati Tharu, who is 40 years old. Thankfully, Tharu escaped unharmed.

Forest officials are currently investigating the incident. Prabin Bidari, Head of the Division Forest Office in Bardiya, confirmed this information.
