Rupandehi: A 27-year-old woman, Sushma Shrestha, was tragically killed in a three-vehicle accident in Belbas on Monday evening.
The accident occurred around 8:30 PM when Shrestha, riding a scooter (Lu 87 Pa 4573) from Murgiya towards Butwal, was struck by a motorcycle with no registration plate. The impact caused Shrestha’s scooter to lose control and collide with a Bolero jeep (Lu 1 Cha 6783).
Shrestha was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries en route. The driver of the Bolero jeep has been arrested, while the motorcyclist remains at large. Police are actively searching for the absconding individual.
