For many years, professional wrestling fans in Mexico have been asking WWE to carry out a Pay Per View or in this precise case a Premium Live Event as they are now known.
It has been several years since a WWE SmackDown broadcast took place from the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, however, we did not have another presentation of that size in our country.
Now, the first PLE that will be presented in Mexico is Backlash, which is the event that takes place after Wrestlemania. This is made known by the artist Badd Bunny after an interview with Rolling Stone in which they asked him how he felt about bringing such a big event to Puerto Rico.
“What can I tell you? It was nice. I was with them until we could bring WWE to Puerto Rico. And, I think it was good for everyone, because I saw last year like Backlash in France and now this year which will be in Mexico. “You’ve seen that it works,” the urban genre artist told the magazine.
It’s worth noting that there have already been rumors about PLE coming to Mexico, but nothing as close as what Badd Bunny just said, so let’s hope it happens.

When will WWE Backlash 2025 be?
It is worth noting that WWE has not yet given a formal date for Backlash in 2025, however, taking into account the dates of previous events, it would take place in the month of May.
In Puerto Rico it took place on May 6 at the Puerto Rico Coliseum, while in France it was on May 4. With a little luck, the one in Mexico would be on May 3 and at the Mexico City Arena, unless it occurred to them to take it to a much larger arena, but it looks complicated.
Until now, the events confirmed by WWE are the Royal Rumble on February 1st, then Elimination Chamber on March 1st and Wrestlemania 41 on April 19th and 20th.
