A young man lost his life in a drowning accident on Thursday afternoon. 18-year-old Kabiraj Dangi, resident of Ward No. 2 in Tatopani rural municipality, went for a swim in the Tila River near the Tatopani stream in Jarmi.
According to the Jumla District Police Office, Dangi drowned while bathing with a friend. Despite a search effort lasting approximately 45 minutes involving the District Police Office, Armed Police Force Tatopani, Tatopani Police Office, and residents, Dangi was tragically found deceased.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of swimming in unfamiliar or fast-moving water bodies. Our thoughts are with Dangi’s family and friends during this difficult time.
