A 22-year-old man was tragically electrocuted in Dhanusa district while trying to connect a generator to his neighbor’s home. The victim, identified as Aravind Kumar Mandal of Hanspur Municipality-6 Tilhi, died on Monday evening after coming into contact with an 11,000-volt wire.
According to Dhanusa police spokesperson DSP Barun Bahadur Singh, Mandal attempted to connect the generator line for his neighbor’s religious ceremony when the accident occurred. He accidentally touched the high-voltage wire, resulting in fatal electrocution.
Mandal was rushed to Provincial Hospital Janakpur for emergency treatment but was pronounced dead upon arrival. His body has been kept at the hospital for a post-mortem examination, and the District Police Office Dhanusa is conducting further investigations into the incident.
This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the dangers associated with electrical work and the importance of safety precautions.
