A tragic motorcycle accident in Jumla claimed the life of a young man.
The victim, identified as 29-year-old Min Bahadur Budha, was involved in the accident in Patarasi Rural Municipality-5, Lower Lorpa.
According to the District Police Office (DPO) Jumla, Budha was riding a motorcycle with registration number Ka 1 Pa 2077 when the vehicle went out of control on a narrow road. The motorcycle plunged an estimated 75 meters down into the Jawa River.
Inspector Umesh Chand, Information Officer for DPO Jumla, reported that local residents rushed Budha to Karnali Institute of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital in Jumla. Despite their efforts, Budha succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
Relatives of the deceased confirmed that an ambulance was used to transport Budha to the hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
